Kangana Ranaut is often known for her bold statements regarding the Bollywood film industry and as she prepares for the release of her upcoming film Emergency, another bold statement by the actress is getting viral over the internet.
Talking about getting offered the role of Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat in one of her recent interviews, Kangana revealed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali refused to share the script with her.

Enquiring about her role, the director stated that the heroine’s role is just this the hero sees her for the first time in a mirror while she’s getting ready. Kangana further said that the director was right as the main female lead played by Deepika Padukone was just getting ready throughout the entire film.
As Kangana called Deepika’s role irrelevant in the film, there is a flood of mixed opinions over the internet regarding Deepika’s role as some think that it was a perfect blend for the actress. While others supported Kangana and called the film a mediocre one.

Kangana concluded her statements by stating “So, I don’t want to name names or bring attention to specific individuals, but I want to ask you, which director should I work with?”
Starring alongside Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone played the main role in 2018’s Padmaavat which showcased a real-life struggle based on an epic poem.
