Kamala Harris Religion: Kamala Harris book author attacks her faith: ‘Vengeful Hindu goddess’
Kamala Harris at the CNN Town Hall said she was raised to believe ina loving god.

Charlie Spiering who wrote a book on Kamala Harris titled Amateur Hour: Kamala Harris in the White House attacked the vice president’s religion and said Kamala Harris was actually raised by her mother to believe in a “vengeful Hindi goddess”. Spiering posted this on his X handle drawing a contrast to what Kamala Harris said at CNN Town Hall about her faith.
“I was raised to believe in a loving God, to believe that your faith is a verb, live your faith,” Kamala Harris told Anderson Cooper as her faith is a much-discussed issue this election after the Donald Trump campaign called her ‘anti-Christ’.Kamala Harris said she prays every day and sometimes twice a day and when President Joe Biden withdrew from the race endorsing her, she called her pastor Reverend Amos C. Brown of the Third Baptist Church of San Francisco.
“It was an extraordinary day, that Sunday, when the president called me,” Harris said. “I instinctively understood the gravity of the moment, the seriousness of the moment.” Harris said she “needed that spiritual kind of connection, I needed that advice, I needed a prayer.”

Charlie Spiering hinted that what Kamala Harris now says about her religion is not what she used to say initially.
“Kamala Harris last night: ‘I was raised to believe in a loving God, to believe that your faith is a verb, you live your faith.’ She was actually raised by her mother to believe in a vengeful Hindu goddess, if you listen to her early political speeches in SF,” he posted along with a page from his book.
“Harris is steeped in the Hindu tradition. In her early political career, she would refer to her Indian heritage from time to time, citing Hindu goddesses as an influence. Harris spoke about the Hindu goddess Parvati/Kali from during the Indus Entrepreneurs’ first-ever Women’s Forum in April 2004. Harris recalled growing up and hearing stories about Parvati, the benevolent goddess wife of the god Shiva. When Parvati was angry, she manifested the Mother Goddess in the for, of the terrifying Kali. Kali is depicted as a dark-skinned, four armed goddess wearing the skulls of her enemies and depicted holding a severed head and a sword. Harris said the story of Kali, which had been told to her many times as a child, inspired her to become a prosecutor…” the excerpt read.
