Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 5: Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan’s film drops 60 per cent on Monday | Hindi Movie News

Director Nag Ashwin‘s recently released sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD is on track to become a box-office juggernaut. Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, the film opened to a thunderous start. Despite witnessing nearly a 60 per cent drop in collections on Monday, it still managed to rake in a significant amount on its fifth day.
According to Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD maintained a strong hold in its Hindi version, collecting Rs 16.5 crore.The Telugu version also posted impressive numbers, bringing in Rs 14.5 crore. The film’s Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions earned Rs 2 crore, Rs 0.3 crore, and Rs 1.3 crore, respectively. The total five-day collections now stand at Rs 343.6 crore, with Telugu contributing Rs 182 crore, Tamil Rs 20.3 crore, Hindi Rs 128 crore, Kannada Rs 2.1 crore, and Malayalam Rs 11.2 crore.

Previously titled Project K, Kalki 2898 AD is billed as a fusion of the Hindu epic Mahabharata and science fiction. The film was made on a reported budget of Rs 600 crore.

In addition to its star-studded cast, the movie also features Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana. It is reportedly the most expensive feature film in Indian cinema history.
