On its third day, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ continues to receive strong audience feedback and is expected to comfortably surpass Rs 100 crore in global earnings. However, the crucial T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa could impact its box office performance. As of now, the film has amassed over Rs 200 crore in all-India nett collections over three days.
The film experienced a decline in collections on Friday, anticipated due to it being a weekday. Without a public holiday to bolster its box office, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ aims to surpass the Rs 500 crore mark globally by Sunday. According to the Sacnilk report, achieving this milestone would make it the sixth Indian movie, including extended weekends, alongside ‘Baahubali 2’, ‘RRR’, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Jawan’.
The Telugu epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, received positive reviews upon its release. It marked the first major event film for Hindi audiences since April, following the disappointing performance of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
