After much talk about Cabinet expansion in Telangana, looks like it is going to happen finally. According to latest sources, the date and time have been fixed.
The Telangana Cabinet expansion is scheduled for June 2, the Telangana Formation Day, at 10.45 am. While many days had been considered in the past, the balancing of social equations has finally been achieved.

The Congress High Command has given a green signal to Revanth Reddy to go ahead with the expansion.
A new committee for TPCC has also been proposed, say party sources. Revanth Reddy held meetings with party leaders while in New Delhi and Rahul Gandhi is said to have given his nod to the final list.

A decision has also been taken to give key posts to leaders who couldn’t make it to the final list. Four TPCC working presidents will also be finalised soon.
In a meeting held with KC Venugopal, it was decided to induct five ministers in the Cabinet. While one will go to Reddy, the other four will be given to BC, SC, ST and minorities.

There is also talk of a couple of ministers being dropped. So, there is suspense over as to who will fill the gap. However, one thing is clear. After passing the BC reservation and SC categorization bills in state Assembly, the Congress has decided to implement social justice while selecting new members.
Then, there is the issue of finding candidates to represent Adilabad, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nizamabad. Sudarshan Reddy and many other names are bring heard from Nizamabad.
In Adilabad, Premsagar Rao and Vivek are in the race. But Vivek’s chances are bleak say Congress sources. Already, his son MP Vamsi not being invited for Saraswati pushkaralu breaking protocol has led to controversy.
Vakati Srihari Mudiraj is being considered for Mahabubnagar. Then there is Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy who is more or less confident of his induction. But there are questions about Komatireddy Venkatareddy being continued if that happens.
From Rangareddy, Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Rangareddy has been asking for a cabinet berth for a long time. In the minority quota, MLC Mir Alikhan could get a berth.
To appease the Munnuru Kapus, government whip Adi Srinivas might be considered. Balu Naik is in consideration to represent the lambada community.
The suspense will end on June 2, at 10.45 am, to be precise.
