Jr NTR and Koratala Siva’s highly anticipated pan-India film is set for release on September 27, with U.S. premieres on the 26th.
Bookings have been open for a few days, and pre-sales are already through the roof, hinting at a record-breaking premiere number for Jr NTR (excluding RRR, which had the Rajamouli factor).

Devara pre-sales have already surpassed $700K, with about three weeks still to go until the release date.
This year, we’ve only had two films featuring a major star (Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD), Guntur Kaaram so there’s a huge demand to see a Tier 1 star hero film on the big screen.

When a star hero film releases after a long gap, it tends to generate massive numbers—this is nothing new.
If the content also delivers and Koratala Siva provides a solid film, Devara could surprise everyone. Even with an average outcome, the film can capitalize on the current gap and post impressive numbers.

Much depends on what Koratala delivers, and more importantly, whether he can excite non-Telugu audiences beyond the Telugu states—a suspense that will only be resolved post-release.
