There is no debating the fact that Ram Charan’s Game Changer which released last week faced intense hate from a section of NTR’s fans. This is in reciprocation of the negative trends that Mega fans did during the Devara release time.
In this context, it could perhaps be argued now that NTR will have to face the worst possible situation during the time of War 2’s release. We can expect Mega fans to come out full throttle when it comes to this particular film.

Notably, this film is a multi-starrer and this leaves a section of mega fans with all the more leeway to make a meal of the situation.
If the film succeeds, then the lions share of the credit will be conveniently pushed in the credit of Hrithik by the mega fans on social media. And if things go south and the film stutters, then the blame will be pushed on Tarak.

Factually speaking, NTR will have something to gain from this film in terms of market expansion in Hindi. But when it comes to social media, the worst is yet to come for him.
That said, NTR’s fans were exceptionally vocal during the release of Devara. They all accumulated to counter the negativity on the film. They will have to work overtime for War 2 as well.

If anything, RRR which was vaguely projected to bring a sense of camaraderie between the Mega and Nandamuri fandoms only ended up widening the gap further as both sets of fans started to quarrel for credits.
For now, what’s for certain is that War 2 will face virtually endless hate from mega fans who are vexed with the kind of social media scrutiny that Game Changer accumulated. This is going to be an interesting passage of play in the Telugu social media space.
