There is significant excitement for Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker: Folie À Deux, which will hit Indian cinemas on October 2. Fans will be among the first globally to see this much-anticipated sequel.
However, those eager to catch it in IMAX will have to wait until October 4 due to existing screenings of the film Devara.

According to reports, Warner Bros decided to move the release date from October 4 to October 2 to capitalize on the National Holiday for Gandhi Jayanti. This strategy aims to attract larger audiences during the holiday period.
Unfortunately, Joker: Folie À Deux will not be available in IMAX until October 4 because Devara, starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, has secured its IMAX slots for a full week following its premiere on September 27.

The source confirmed that while Joker: Folie À Deux will release in 2D, 4DX, and Screen X on October 2, its IMAX availability will start only after Devara concludes its run.
The first Joker film (2019) earned over Rs. 5 crores on its opening day despite competition from War and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, and trade experts believe that Joker: Folie À Deux will surpass those figures.
