Ever since JioCinema and Hotstar came together to become Jio Hotstar, users have been comparing the new merger to Disney+Hotstar and the comparison is not very much in favour of the former.
People say that the content of Disney+Hotstar was as good as Prime Video’s or Netflix’s. But even with the resources of two OTT giants, Jio Hotstar is failing to recreate that.

There used to be wonderful shows like ‘Criminal Justice’, ‘Special Ops’, and ‘The Freelancer’ from Disney+Hotstar. And fans are not finding many good originals from Jio Hotstar now. The list of licensed titles too seems to be narrowed down.
Jio Hotstar’s reality shows have not been very impressive and invited huge trolling from users. The platform will have to check these contents and try to match Disney+Hotstar’s level with a new set of originals.

But we have to consider that Jio Hotstar is still in its initial phase and it will take some time to unleash its full potential. The platform can do wonders but it will have to observe what subscribers want to see and follow that.
