It seems like the makers of Jigra are unnecessarily trying to tip off a controversy. Netizens feel that the whole “Vasan Bala against Alia as lead role” feud is their desperate PR attempt.
It all started when Vasan Bala stated candidly that he was not happy when Karan Johar sent his rough draft to Alia Bhatt without asking him. Fans understood this as a sign that Vasan Bala didn’t want to cast Alia in the lead role.

People are aware how Karan Johar is biassed towards Alia and always gives her undue advantage in Dharma Productions’ films. People believed that the same thing happened in Jigra.
Alia will be seen in a never seen before avatar in this fierce action based drama that is releasing on 11 October. It seems like to stay in news the makers are brewing controversy out of nothing.

Now Somen Mishra from the team of Jigra laughed the whole matter off by saying that Vasan Bala didn’t mean that he was against Alia. He blamed the entire matter on the media for blowing it out of proportion.
The film will be battling against Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which has Rajkumar Rao and Tripti Dimri in lead roles. Maybe the makers are scared of a disaster and hence they are trying to increase the hype around the film.
