Former Philadelphia Eagles Center Jason Kelce confronted a Penn State fan outside Beaver Studio who passed a homophobic slur to attack his brother Travis Kelce for dating Taylor Swift. “Hey Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f***** dating Taylor Swift,” the man said as seen in several viral videos of the incident. The man was also recording the incident but ended up recording his sheer humiliation as Jason Kelce grabbed the phone out of his hand and then smashed it on the ground.
When the man demanded the phone back, an enrages Jason said, “Who’s the f***** now?”
The video went viral with social media users commenting on whether Jason’s outburst was justified. “The kid following and berating Jason Kelce deserved to have his phone smashed. he went looking for trouble and intentionally wanted to illicit (sic) a reaction. F that guy!” one wrote.
“People are gonna comment about Jason Kelce but the point is there’s no accountability for anything anyone says anymore. The old days with no phones and social media what do you think would have really happened?! People are losers for this crap,” another wrote.
“This is exactly how trolls should be handled in real life. Kudos to Jason Kelce,” a post said.
“If you f*** around with Jason Kelce, you’re gonna find out,” one wrote.
“Jason Kelce is the f**king man! Takes a dudes phone and smashes it on the ground after he calls his brother a homophobic slur,” a post read.
“I love this. Jason Kelce just took a stand for normal men against the “idiots who have become way too comfortable saying ridiculous shit to people who can actually kick their ass” crowd.
Good for him,” another read.
There were some disapproving comments also as one wrote: “Destroying people’s property is not a win. He should have handled this better like an adult. He should have walked away and igorned it. No matter how obnoxious this kid was touching his personal property is a no go.”
