Actress Jasmine Bhasin rose to immense popularity with her journey on television, and now, while she explores Punjabi cinema, the actress is also gearing up for her foray into Bollywood. Another reason Jasmine is often in the news for her relationship with actor Aly Goni. During the latest episode of SCREEN’s Dear Me…, Jasmine Bhasin spoke about her relationship with Aly and also commented on people scrutinizing their relationship on religious grounds.
Sharing that she and Aly had decided to part ways before Bigg Boss 14, Jasmine said, “Aly and I met as friends, then Bigg Boss happened. I was going on the show, and before that, we discussed that staying together was not an option for us. Then he came on the show and said, ‘let’s give it a try’. We were always in love, just that we were in denial and also not ready for it at that time.”
She further explained, “We were such good friends, enjoyed each other’s company a lot, later we decided that some distance was important so we could move on in life. If we had this clarity that we both could not be partners, and could not see a future together, then what was the point of hurting each other, getting into a relationship, and making it toxic? It was better to be best friends, it’s emotions at the end of the day, so if someone is around you, always moving on gets difficult. In that break, he realized that he wanted to give us a try, and I was always okay with it.”
Jasmine Bhasin went on to comment on people’s opinions on their relationship, especially because both come from different religious backgrounds. Talking about the same, Jasmine added, “The relationship is between the two of us, we have an understanding, we have had these conversations. We have reached a common ground, we have accepted each other the way we are. We are sorted between us, so nobody’s opinions matter. Still, if people give negative opinions that can affect our relationship, then shame on them. The world needs love and positivity. If two people are happy, others can keep their stupid opinions to themselves, and if they are so clever, they should focus on sorting their own lives. This is our life, and we will figure it out.”
The Bigg Boss 14 contestant also revealed how she has changed after Aly came into her life. “I have become a calmer and a more mature version of myself. He is connected to his family, and I admire that about him. I also learned to be more involved with my family. I used to be very impulsive and hyper, lekin Aly se milne ke baad Jasmine badi ho gayi (I have matured after meeting Aly).”
On the work front, while Aly Goni is seen on Laughter Chefs 2, Jasmine is all set to be seen as a contestant on the reality show The Traitors.
