Several high-budget Indian films of 2024 had to gain satisfaction with disastrous collections at the Box Office as compared to their cost of production.
Despite having a cast filled with superstars, and pockets as deep as the Mariana trench, these films failed to establish a connection with the audience.

Kanguva, starring Suriya in dual roles, managed to collect only Rs.85.5 crore in its first week globally, despite having a budget of Rs.350 crores due to its weak storytelling.
Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ felt like a forced sequel, earning only Rs.150 crores, despite having a massive budget of Rs. 350 crores.

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, grossed around Rs.105 crores, being made with a Rs.375 crore budget. This fate was mostly owed to weak dialogues and poor execution.
Another film termed a ‘missed opportunity’ was Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’, a biographical sports drama that was criticised for having outdated storytelling. The film earned Rs.72 crores while being made with a budget of Rs.235 crores.

‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ also joined the flop bandwagon of 2024 failures, with the audience’s expectations being shattered with non-engaging content.
The names in this list are a shining example of the fact that big stars with crappy storylines can do little to lift a film that belongs in the swamp.
