Viral Ganpati Video

Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbai’s most iconic Ganesh pandal, becomes the focal point of worship during Ganesh Chaturthi. But amid the devotion, a sharp divide has come to light: while celebrities and politicians enjoy VIP treatment, the common devotees are left standing in endless queues, struggling just to catch a glimpse of their beloved Ganpati Bappa.

A viral video from the pandal has sparked outrage. It shows devotees being harshly treated by the management, not even allowed to touch the feet of the idol. Many were pulled away and manhandled, adding insult to their long wait. In stark contrast, footage of Bollywood stars and politicians enjoying easy, unhindered access has emerged, sparking a wave of criticism.

Netizens are calling out the blatant double standards, questioning why worship is tied to status. Isn’t everyone equal before God? The viral video has ignited heated discussions, with many accusing these grand celebrations of becoming a pretentious display of wealth and power, leaving true devotees to suffer in long lines.

One user on social media wrote, “I am not a religious person, but even when I was or if I were I would never let my self respect go in vain to be treated like this. It is not even a pilgrimage place by definition. The value of small Ganpati Idol at your home or vicinty has the same as that of a Huge idol.”

Another one wrote, “Imagine standing 8-9 hours to get darshan & in return people get this treatment, better to avoid such places!”

One user, “Won’t be surprised if Lalbaugcha Raja Pandal is declared as VIP only in future. The treatment is so highly visible in a single frame. High time Mumbai Police takes over the crowd management, otherwise, slowly will lose essence amongst the common public.”
