Kottukkaali directed by PS Vinothraj and Vaazhai directed by Maari Selvaraj are all set to release on August 23rd. Both of these movies hold lots of expectations, as both movies were directed by critically acclaimed directors of Kollywood.

Kottukkaali was directed by Koozhangal famed PS Vinothraj, starring Soori and Anna Ben in the lead. The exciting factor about this movie is that it has no music director, and the director planned to make the audience feel the real sound. This movie was produced by Sivakarthikeyan’s SK Productions.
On the other hand, Vaazhai was directed by Karnan and Pariyerum Perumal, famed Maari Selvaraj, starring Kalaiyarasan and Nikhila Vimal in the lead. The musical album of this movie was composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The trailer for this movie was launched a few days ago at an event, and many directors and celebrities, such as Dhruv Vikram and Harish Kalyan, attended the event. Sivakarthikeyan and Silambarasan TR have been sent a video wish for the movie in the trailer launch event. The exciting factor about both movies is that the storylines of these movies were rooted and set in the backdrop of Tamil culture in villages.

Kottukkaali was previously screened at the 74th Berlin Film Festival and became the first Tamil movie to achieve this feat. Parallely Maari Selvaraj, in an interview, has opened up that the Vaazhai movie was his biopic. As both movies hold lots of expectations, let’s see what both movies offer us on August 23rd.
