IPL 2023 Auction LIVE – IPL Auction LIVE Streaming: The mock auction is over. The franchises have received their auction brief from the IPL Governing Council. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah also arrived in Kochi on Thursday. With less than 24 hours to go, preparations are in full swing. For the first time, two broadcasters will have live streaming and live broadcast of IPL Auction 2023. Among the rule changes in auction, BCCI has brought in a tie-breaker rule in case teams run out of funds to purchase players during the auction. - If a franchisee makes a final bid and can no longer make any further for the player and are tied with other franchises, the auctioneer will sell the player at the last bid price.
- In such a scenario, BCCI will invoke a tie-breaker rule to determine which franchise will sign the player.
- BCCI will invite each franchisee who are tied to submit a silent written bid on a form.
- The highest bidder in silent bid wins.

BCCI has booked two floors of the Grand Hyatt in Bolgatty island in Kochi for IPL Auction 2023. The mini-auction will be a 7-hour affair with an hour of break in between on December 23.
Before the auction day, the franchises will meet with IPL governing council members on December 21. On this day, the franchises will get some clarity on players’ availability. Another set of meetings will be on December 22 with broadcasters to have a mock auction.
- 10 Teams have already retained 163 Players
- Auction will be conducted for 87 SLOTS
- 30 SLOTS are left for foreign cricketers
- Total Player Purse left with franchises – 206.5 CR
- Franchises have already spent 743.5 Crores on players
- 991 players have entire IPL Auction

The IPL will feature two broadcasters for the first time. JioCinema will have IPL 2023 LIVE Streaming while Star Sports Network will broadcast the IPL Auction LIVE on TV. Consequently, the course of events might vary. On December 20–21, the team owners and a small number of helpers will arrive in Kochi.
