To download and install the iOS 18 public beta on a compatible iPhone, you’ll need an Apple ID. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- 1. Register your Apple ID at beta.apple.com.
- 2. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- 3. Navigate to General > Software Update.
- 4. Look for the iOS public beta in the beta updates section and select “Update Now.” The iOS 18 public beta is approximately 6.98 GB.
- 5. Once downloaded, tap on “Install.” Your iPhone will restart, and iOS 18 will be ready to use.
Upon installation, you might not notice significant changes immediately. The redesigned Control Centre is one of the first noticeable updates. Other new features are waiting to be explored, but the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence features are not available yet and are expected to roll out in September.
