NEW DELHI: An IndiGo Delhi-Bengaluru flight had a tail strike during take off from IGI Airport on Sept 9. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has grounded the crew operating flight 6E-6054 on Airbus A321neo (VT-IBI).
The aircraft is learnt to have suffered the tail strike during take off, which left significant signs of damage. The same was discovered in Bengaluru when an engineer of the airline was inspecting the aircraft for its next flight.Data on this flight has been sent to Airbus for assessment, according to sources. The DGCA is probing this incident.
