The prime target of these protests has been Immigrants and asylum seekers. The riots seen in the UK are believed to be the worst in 13 years. The anti-immigrant rioters were seen destroying hotels on the false allegations of harboring asylum seekers.
The riots started after the stabbing incident which shook the nation. There were rumors about the suspect’s identity and social media forwards wrongly labeled him as a recent asylum seeker. The situation escalated from then and took the form of looting, arson and violence.
