    Indians Are Driving Force To USA’s Economy

    The Indian diaspora in America, which consists of 5.1 million people of Indian origin, has made remarkable contributions across various fields, helping to shape the nation’s economic and technological landscape. Indians’ contribution is indeed more significant to America’s growth.

    An organization called Indiaspora recently released a report with the title, ‘Small Community… Big Contributions… Boundless Horizons: The Indian Diaspora in America,’ and it highlights the contributions of the Indian community to America.

    The Indian diaspora constitutes 1.5 per cent of the U.S. population, with both U.S.-born and India-born individuals contributing to this figure.

    Indian Americans are a driving force in the U.S. economy. They collectively pay $300 billion in taxes annually and contribute between $370 billion and $460 billion in annual spending. Their contributions, particularly in sales tax, significantly bolster the U.S. economy.

    Out of the 648 unicorn startups in the U.S., 72 were founded by immigrants from India. These startups, valued at a staggering $185 billion (₹16.88 lakh crore), employ 55,000 people, accounting for 13 per cent of all jobs in unicorn startups.

    Altogether, Indians show dominance in Technology, Business and Hotel Management.
