We Indians have a unique taste palate and the main reason behind it is its spices, in fact foreign countries take spices from India to include flavours in their foods. So it’s fair to say that India holds the spice territory.

But, what if those very spices become the reason for illness?
According to the reports of Reuters, close to 12% of all tested spice samples in India, have failed to meet quality and safety standards.

Which is a big issue, because spices are not only used for flavour it also contains medical values.
474 out of 4,054 samples tested by the FSSAI between May and early July did not meet quality and safety parameters.

It is also found that many spices hold cancer causing elements, from the leading brands of India, chemicals are being used to produce ample amounts of product similarly they are causing life threatening diseases.
Afterwards, brands are claiming that their products are safe to use but the UK strictly stopped importing spices from India.
The FSSAI told Reuters that they are taking necessary action towards the brands.
