This has drawn huge appreciation for the rapper from all around the world and he has now turned into a superstar. However, there are many who don’t like that an Indian is making his way in hip-hop.

A user on X accused Sooraj of ripping off and exploiting black culture. Sooraj moved back to India from Houston where he worked at Goldman. He is accusing him of being privileged and according to him that is why his success should not be valid.
It has caused some outrage on the internet and people are coming in support of the Indian rapper. Hip-hop is not something that entirely belongs to one particular community. The rise of culture in India is an indicator of the demand for alternative music in the country.
