The real challenge for H1B visa holders seems not to be in getting the visa but in securing an appointment for Dropbox to get a renewal of the same.
While the Dropbox system allows visa renewals without going through the struggle of an in-person interview, people are finding it difficult to get an available slot.

Some cities, like Mumbai and Hyderabad, have been booked solidly for many months.
Some Indians have tried calling in every day for many months, only to be met with absolutely no success. Many can cite errors in the very system by which the booking is done, frustratingly enough.

Though Dropbox is an option that is supposed to save time; these issues with appointments are becoming a big obstacle for the visa holders who want to renew their status. Most of them just hope that very soon, more slots will become available, easing the burden.
