The tragic death of Indian-origin Gursimran Kaur inside a walk-in oven at a Walmart Store in Halifax, Canada has stirred a massive online controversy.
The Halifax Regional Police have launched an active investigation into the matter, raising significant public concern.

Kaur was found charred to death inside a walk-in oven on October 19th. The suspicious circumstances regarding her death have left many of her coworkers in disbelief over it being an accident.
Her colleagues came forward to reveal that the ovens can only be locked from the outside, indicating that foul play might be involved in the teenager’s death.

A worker by the name of Chris Breezie explained that Kaur would not have fit easily inside the oven, making it very difficult for her to close the door alone from the inside.
The police have said that they are collaborating with multiple agencies to investigate the case. Meanwhile, ‘The Maritime Sikh Society’ has raised awareness about the tragedy, calling for a transparent inquiry.

Walmart has temporarily closed the bakery in compliance with the authorities, along with providing financial support to Kaur’s family.
