Indian shuttlers have played their part in the Paris Olympics and although they fought bravely, they are going to return home without a medal. The whole country had high hopes from the likes of Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu. The coaches and the federation have started to talk about it and it is clear from their end who is being held responsible for this outcome.
Prakash Padukone, coach of Lakshya Sen spoke to the media about the issue and said that it is time the players take responsibility for their defeat at the games. The video released shows a disappointed and somewhat angry Prakash Padukone who feels the federation and the coaches did whatever they could.

Padukone claimed that the federation has provided the best available facilities to these players and even claimed that countries like the US or China can’t even provide such dedicated facilities to each player. He also targeted the media for creating stars out of players.
Lakshya Sen is only 22 and he has already defeated some of the highest ranked players. Everyone expected him to win a medal after he defeated the world number 3 in the quarter finals. The temperament of the players at the big stage was also under attack by the Indian coach.
