Indian Americans Top U.S. Income

Indian Americans unobtrusively lead the way when family income in America is at stake. In fact, they have the highest median income among racial and ethnic groups — surpassing even the country’s average Asian median.

What’s more fascinating? Indian immigrants — those who came here — earn more than their U.S. born Indian counterparts.

This is not bragging rights. This is the cost of being great — emotionally, socially, and mentally — to build a secure life away from home.

Despite this, this community still comes, gives, and expands — not just to endure, but because they are set on creating something bigger. Success here was not overnight or without cost, but it is a testament to a common mindset: work hard, stay humble, and lift up as you rise.

This wealth tale is not a numbers one. It is a tale of persistence, of choices made quietly, and hope taken across oceans — and kept going still, every single day.
