India vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI Highlights: Rohit Sharma played a quickfire knock of 51 not out, but Bangladesh held their nerves to win the second ODI by 5 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla International Stadium in Mirpur. Rohit, who had injured his thumb while fielding and was sent for scans, came out to bat at no. 9. India seemed down and out after losing the wickets of Shreyas Iyer (82) and Axar Patel (56) in quick succession. However, Rohit played a captain’s knock, almost pulling off a famous win for Team India. The visitors needed 40 runs off the last 12 balls and Rohit took them close to the target with a late blitz. With this win, Bangladesh registered their second successive ODI series win over India on home soil. Earlier, Mehidy Mehidy Hasan Miraz smashed an unbeaten 100 as Bangladesh recovered from a top-order collapse to post a total of 271/7 against India in the second ODI. The hosts were 69 for six at one stage before Mehidy Hasan and Mahmudullah added 148 runs for the seventh wicket. Mehidy Hasan reached triple figures on the final ball of the innings, while Mahmudullah was dismissed on 77. Washington was the pick of the bowlers for India with three wickets to his name, while Mohammed Siraj and Umran Malik took two wickets each.
