    Asian Games LIVE: India have a great chance of collecting multiple gold medals across sports as it competes in multiple finals on Day 8 of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on Sunday. Aditi Ashok is in contention for a gold in women’s individual golf and play a huge role in the team medal. The men’s shuttlers are going to take on China having already made history. Athletics has plenty of medal matches on the day which can fatten the country’s medal tally at the Games in China.

    India’s medal tally reached 38 at the end of play on Saturday with two golds, two silvers and a bronze. The yellow metal came in men’s team squash and mixed doubles tennis, the silvers in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event and courtesy Karthik Kumar in Men’s 10,000m. Gulveer Singh bagged a bronze medal in the Men’s 10,000m.

    The day also witnessed India men’s hockey team thrashing Pakistan 10-2, women’s doubles table tennis pairing of Ayhika and Sutirtha Mukherjee shocking World No 2 pairing of Chen Meng and Yidi Wang, boxers Narender Berwal, Preeti Panwar and Lovlina Borgohain progressing to the semi-finals and assuring themselves, and the country, of a medal.
