Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats and 288 Assembly seats. The NDA has decided to get 45 plus seats in Maharashtra and 230 plus in Assembly polls.
In a meeting held at Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s residence, the NDA allies passed a resolution pledging to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together to get PM Narendra Modi re-elected with absolute majority.
The NDA in Maharashtra is a conglomeration of all political parties which are alliance partners supporting the BJP in the state. The list of parties include—BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), NCP (Ajit faction), RPI (Athavale), RPI (Kawade), Bahujan Vikas Aghadi, Prahar Jan Shakti, Ryan Kranti and Rashtriya Samaj Paksha.
The NDA constituents led by BJP held a meeting on Thursday late night which was followed by dinner hosted by Shinde. The meeting, which started at 10 pm, continued well past mid-night.

Three resolutions were passed at the meeting. First was to congratulate DyCM Devendra Fadnavis for his Japan tour where he held interactions with various Japanese firms to invest in mega infrastructure projects in the state. He was also applauded for receiving Doctorate from Japan’s Koyasan University.
The second resolution was to acknowledge the remarkable feat of ISRO scientists for soft-launching Chandrayaan-3.

The third resolution was adopted acknowledging the leadership of CM Eknath Shinde, DyCM Devendra Fadnavis and DyCM Ajit Pawar. It was decided that all the NDA parties in Maharashtra will remain together and fight polls to get Modi elected with greater mandate in 2024 polls.

Senior leader Praful Patel, State BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Union Minister Ramdas Athavale, RSP leader Mahadeo Jankar, RPI (Kawade) Jogendra Kawade, PJS’ Bachhu Kadu, JSPs Vinay Kore and BVA’s Hitendra Thakur attended the meeting. Cabinet ministers and office-bearers of all parties also took part in the meeting.
