Don King, the colorful promoter and Boxing Hall of Fame member, is battling unspecified health issues, Mike Tyson told rappers Cam’ron and Mase on Friday.
Speaking on the podcast, ‘It Is What It Is,’ Tyson revealed: ‘Don is not doing well right now.’
‘He’s probably close to 100 years old, he’s not doing well,’ the 58-year-old Tyson added.
Sources have since confirmed the news to TMZ, adding that 93-year-old King was recently hospitalized for over a week. Details about King’s current condition remain unclear. DailyMail.com’s emails to King’s spokespeople and website were not immediately returned.
Despite his advanced age, the controversial King still promotes fighters, including troubled former champion Adrien Broner, and remains a vocal supporter of Donald Trump‘s presidential campaign. King settled a legal dispute with heavyweight Daniel Dubois in 2022 after allegedly failing to pay the Englishman for his win over Trevor Bryan months earlier. Dubois is now poised to fight former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in front of a record crowd at Wembley on Saturday night.
