    Hyundai Exter India launch soon: Expected price, design, specs and more


    Hyundai Motor India has partially revealed the Exter compact SUV for the Indian market recently. The company has already commenced the bookings of the Hyundai Exter at a token amount of Rs 11,000. Hyundai recently confirmed that the sub-4-metre SUV will come equipped with six airbags as standard across all the variants. Expected to launch in mid of July, here is everything to know about the upcoming Exter SUV.
    Hyundai Exter: Variants and design
    Hyundai is offering the Exter SUV in five variants – EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. The partially-revealed picture follows the Parametric design language with boxy proportions and a split headlamp set-up with H-shaped LED DRLs. The side profile of the sub-four-metre gets flared wheel arches with thick cladding, dual-tone alloy wheels and roof rails. The rear profile has received an upright tailgate, tail lamps and H-shaped LED lighting.
    The company has not yet revealed the interior details of the upcoming Hyundai Exter SUV.
    Hyundai Exter: Engine
    Hyundai Exter will be powered by two engine options – a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine (E20-fuel ready) and a 1.2-litre Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG engine. The former will be mated with a five-speed manual transmission and AMT unit, while the latter will be paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
    Hyundai Exter: Safety features
    As far as safety is concerned, the Hyundai Exter sub-4-metre SUV will be equipped with six airbags (driver, passenger, curtain and side) as standard. The Exter will get 40 safety features, including Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management and HAC (Hill Assist Control). Standard safety features include a 3-Point Seat Belt & seatbelt reminder (all seats), keyless entry, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ESS, and burglar alarm.
    Hyundai Exter: Expected price and rivals
    The Hyundai Exter is expected to be available at a starting price of Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Upon launch, it will take the likes of the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and others across the country. Deliveries will likely commence by early August 2023.
