HYDRAA has been facing severe backlash over the last few days due to its alleged demolitions of common people’s houses near lakes and water bodies.
The agency was praised when it demolished influential people’s properties but faced criticism for taking action against poor people’s houses.

The opposition BRS party has been actively protesting against HYDRAA as the alleged victims of the agency approached the party for support.
Amidst all these controversies, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy remained silent over the last few days. Finally, he opened up on the issue and clarified that HYDRAA’s operations will not stop.

He stated that HYDRAA is necessary for the future of Hyderabad and accused BRS of spreading false propaganda about the agency, despite it bringing a positive reputation to the government.
Yesterday, CM Revanth went to Delhi to meet the Congress party’s high command. During this meeting, he discussed the High Court’s orders related to HYDRAA and the opposition’s criticism. Revanth explained HYDRAA’s operations and its impact to AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge.

Revanth expressed that HYDRAA is crucial to protect Hyderabad from future floods. He added that the government is prepared to provide appropriate responses to the High Court.
He assured that actions will be taken without harming the lives of the poor and mentioned that plans are being made to relocate residents living near lakes and water bodies.
