HYDRA, introduced by the Congress government, became a nightmare for many people across Telangana. Especially, people residing near lakes or on Musi River Bed are having sleepless nights due to HYDRA’s demolitions.
Over the last few days, we have seen many people taking drastic steps as a sign of protest against HYDRA. While some people held rallies, some others threatened to set themselves on fire. Last night, a woman committed suicide assuming that HYDRA might demolish her residence as well.

Amidst this growing tense atmosphere, victims of HYDRA reached BRS Party’s Telangana Bhavan earlier today. They visited Telangana Bhavan to share their pain regarding HYDRA demolitions.
While BRS working president KT Rama Rao couldn’t meet them as he is down with a fever, senior leaders Harish Rao, Sabitha Indra Reddy and other MLAs are listening to the cries of HYDRA victims.

They are seeking BRS’s support to prevent HYDRA from demolishing their buildings. On the other hand, those who have already lost their homes are reportedly asking BRS for help in getting justice.
Meanwhile, the general public feels that the widespread criticism against HYDRA could work in BRS’s favour if the party leaders genuinely stand up and fight for the victims. They also opined this could be a good opportunity for BRS to regain the trust of the people.
