The food industry in Hyderabad has expanded so much that food outlets can be found on almost every corner of the city. To differentiate themselves, these outlets create unique offers, flavours, and concepts to attract customers.
However, in their effort to offer new and exciting flavours, food outlets must be careful not to compromise consumer health.

In the latest incident, a cafe in Hyderabad landed in legal soup for mixing whisky in ice cream. Getting into details, a cafe located in Jubilee Hills was serving whisky in one of its ice-cream flavours.
Reportedly, 60 ml of whisky was added to one kg of ice cream. It was heard that children and youth were attracted to this flavour of ice cream.

The cafe also promoted this whisky ice cream through its social media pages.
Upon receiving information, Excise and Enforcement officials raided the two outlets of the cafe and found the news to be true. Eventually, they seized 23 pieces and 11.5 kgs of whisky ice cream and registered a case against the cafe’s owner. The further investigation is going on.
