A shocking incident has surfaced from Hyderabad, where a man named Suryadev from Komaram Bheem Asifabad district married two women in the same ceremony.
Suryadev claimed that the two women, namely Lal Devi and Jhalkari Devi, were the love of his life, and he could not let go of anyone in favour of the other.

The incident happened with the approval of the village elders, who although hesitant at first, eventually came around.
A video of the wedding has gone viral, where the groom can be seen performing the rituals while holding the hands of his wives both at once.

While this incident is one to make big headlines, it’s not the first time something like this has happened in India.
Polygamy, although prohibited by the law for Hindus, is practised more often than one would think in the country.

With Suryadev already having tied the knot, or knots to be more appropriate, it will be interesting to see how well he will be able to manage two relationships together at an age where most aren’t able to handle even one.
