The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner, Amrapali Kata, has made an important decision to ban wall posters, writings, and paintings across the city.

Instructions have been given to the concerned authorities. Amrapali warned that strict actions will be taken, and heavy fines will be imposed on anyone who puts up posters or paints on walls.

This rule applies to movie posters as well. The Commissioner directed all Deputy Commissioners to work with theatre owners to inform them about this ban.

The regulation covers advertising, political posters, and any unauthorized wall paintings. Amrapali also instructed officials to notify poster printing agencies about the order.

Although GHMC issued this order in 2016, posters can still be seen in the city. However, GHMC seems more determined to enforce it now.

Posters and flex banners on walls and pillars around the city spoil its appearance and make it look dirty. Many people are welcoming this move by the GHMC. More details about this decision are expected to be out soon.
