There is a massive disparity in the H-1B hiring process between the American and Indian tech giants. While US-based companies have seen a massive surge, their Indian counterparts stand at the direct opposite end.
American companies, desperate for skilled workers in AI and cloud computing, fail to find them locally, leading to more talent acquisition from India. This has led to industry leaders like Google, Amazon, and Meta heavily relying on H-1B hiring with a massive increase of 189% in the last eight years.

On the other hand, Indian IT firms like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and HCL have reduced such hirings by 50%. With their growing US operations, these companies are focusing more on hiring American workers and offering Green Cards to experienced employees.
Trump’s return to power could easily turn the tide. His last run at the office saw H-1B renewals become more difficult and visa fees skyrocket, which added fears for Indian employees in the US.
