YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been facing a series of setbacks ever since he lost power in Andhra Pradesh. Many key leaders have been leaving Jagan’s YSR Congress party one by one over the last couple of months, leaving him in great concern.

In a latest development, senior leader and former Ongole MLA, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, is reportedly upset with Jagan and is planning to leave the party. His exit would be a major blow to YCP in the Prakasham district.

After the election results were declared and he lost to Damacharla Janardhana Rao, Balineni has been staying mostly in Hyderabad and keeping himself away from YCP’s political activities.

After the conclusion of the elections, Balineni alleged irregularities in the EVM and VVPAT machines in multiple polling booths of the Ongole constituency. His petition is still pending in the court.

However, neither Jagan nor any other YCP leader came in support of Balineni on this issue, and reportedly, it has hurt him.

According to the sources, Balineni was also disappointed to hear reports about Jagan handing over Ongole district’s party president post to Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy instead of him.

On top of this, many corporations and the Mayor joined the Telugu Desam Party, making people assume that Balineni stopped monitoring YCP’s issues in the district.

To discuss all these matters, Jagan had reportedly invited Balineni to his Tadepalli residence. Even after this meeting, Balineni was still upset and clarified his disinterest in taking up the Ongole district president post.

As things didn’t sort out between them, the meeting ended up as a failure. Soon after that, Balineni went back to his home in Hyderabad.

Reports indicate that Balineni will leave YCP in a few days. After that, he is expected to announce his future political plan.
