OYO Rooms has expanded its wings across India offering the best budget hotels in every city. Now, the Indian startup has taken a big step in its endeavor by acquiring a hotel chain in the United States.
OYO is very popular among the Indian youth and middle class for its affordable prices, online bookings, and assured privacy. It has become the first choice of traveling students and young couples for these reasons.

Now, the startup has not only started partnering with hotel chains across the world but has also started buying them out. Blackstone, the owner of a hotel chain in the US, released a statement last week outlining the sale of their budget hotels and stay hotels to OYO.
It is a massive deal worth $525 million and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. While the Indian startup already had many US hotels in its offering, this acquisition is set to expand its terrain as it adds 1400 regions across the US and Canada to its name.
