Hrithik Roshan, the man behind many a Bollywood blockbuster, has had a tough time since his last big hit War (2019). His next film Vikram Vedha (2022) despite good performances, collected only ₹78.9 crore in India.
And fell short of expectations. Now with War 2 releasing on August 14, 2025 this film is going to be a big comeback for the superstar.

After War, Hrithik’s Vikram Vedha (2022) underperformed at the box office and collected ₹78.9 crore in India. Add to that the industry’s slowdown due to COVID-19 and the anticipation for War 2 has increased. Jr NTR, a massive star in Telugu cinema is also part of the film which adds to the pan-India appeal.
War 2 brings together Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, a combination that will connect North and South India. Directed by Ayan Mukerji who is known for his big scale films, the film promises massive action and visual grandeur and will be one of the biggest films of 2025.

The film’s success depends on Ayan Mukerji’s direction and the chemistry between Hrithik and Jr NTR. War 2 can be a hit but that depends on how well these two come together.
For Hrithik it’s a comeback film and a launchpad for his future films like Krrish 4. With such a big starcast and expectations War 2 can be the biggest film of 2025 and make Hrithik the biggest star of Bollywood again.
