Senior IPS Officer Ranganath leads HYDRA, which includes a team of over 250 personnel, comprising three SP-ranked officers, three DSPs, 21 Inspectors, and 33 Sub-Inspectors. Ranganath began his work even before HYDRA was fully operational, acting decisively in line with the Chief Minister’s vision.

A notable incident involved Khairatabad MLA Daanam Nagender, who attempted to assert his dominance over Ranganath concerning demolitions. However, this backfired as Daanam faced a police case for obstructing HYDRA’s duties.
