The horror-comedy is now streaming on Netflix and audience reactions have now started going viral on social media platforms. Compared to the theatrical response, it is getting negative feedback now.
Netizens are not impressed with the storyline and Kartik Aaryan has been specifically criticized. Most of the users have claimed that the comedy was forced and cringe. Tripti Dimrii has also faced backlash for her acting skills.

A section of the audience still appreciated the works of Rajpal Yadav and Vijay Raaz, calling them the best so far in their respective careers. A few people also stated that Kartik has tried to mimic Akshay Kumar, which did not work perfectly for him.
The music received praise and some users complained about the film’s length. However, the climax received a mixed response, with a few people still appreciating the way director Anees Bazmee handled everything towards the end.

Although the OTT response has not been up to the mark, it seems like it’s not going to bother the makers or all those who were cast in the film. The film has already emerged as a blockbuster and the OTT feedback cannot change anything now.
But considering the reactions, it seems like the producers now need to focus on new concepts instead of franchises. This does not mean that the franchises should be completely abandoned. However, a long gap is still necessary.
