HIT The Third Case Box Office Collection Day 1: The third instalment in the intense crime and drama series HIT is certainly hitting all the right marks for the audience. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Nani starrer’s India nett collection on day 1 was Rs 18 crore. In comparison, its prequel, The Second Case, which had Adivi Sesh at the centre of the narrative, had only managed to collect Rs 6.4 crore on its first day. For Nani also, this is the second highest opening ever after Dasara  that collected Rs 23.2 crore on opening day.

The movie had high occupancy rates throughout the day, with the average sitting at 87.98% for Telugu. The morning and afternoon shows managed 79% and 92%, respectively, while the evening and night shows closed out strong with 91% and 88%. Even the occupancy rates are much better than the prequel, as the Adivi-starrer only managed an average of 45%.

The early reviews for the film are fairly positive, with netizens calling the project Nani’s best performance to date. The overall opinions about the movie still seem divided across the board, with some users on the social media calling out the film for not living up to the hype. One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “Nani did a great job; the final act was intense, and the story idea was good. But the investigation felt routine, emotions were weak, and BGM was flat. Verdict: A decent thriller with some strong moments. Rating: 2.5/5.”

Director Sailesh Kolanu seems to have returned with a strong sequel after the first two instalments and a Hindi-language remake starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra. Apart from Nani, the cast of the film also includes Srinidhi Shetty, Adivi Sesh, Rao Ramesh, Niveta Thomas and Brahmaji.

Festive offer

With a strong start at the box office, it remains to be seen how well the movies will fare at the cinemas and whether it can continue this streak of high numbers. Nani will be now looking forward to his upcoming mega project with SS Rajamouli, since the director confirmed the actor’s presence in his film about Mahabharata.
