Despite his failures, he never faced much trolling or backlash. But Extraordinary Man changed that. The film not only flopped at the box office but also severely damaged his credibility. Before the release, Nithiin had made big statements about how good the film was, which backfired.

Additionally, some dialogues and a song triggered heavy trolling, giving him a bad name—something even a streak of 13 flops hadn’t done before. Now, he is making a comeback with Robinhood, which has already faced multiple delays and is finally set to release on March 28.
Initially, Robinhood was supposed to be a solo release, which would have worked in its favor. However, three other films— including L2: Empuraan and Mad Square—have unexpectedly entered the race.

This has put Robinhood in a tough spot. Had it been released alone, even decent word of mouth could have ensured success. But now, with three competitors, the content must be extremely strong. The film needs to be highly engaging and entertaining to survive at the box office.
As of now, the opening day advance bookings are low, as people are waiting for first-day reviews. If the word of mouth is positive, collections could see a huge jump.

Moreover, Robinhood is Nithiin’s highest-budget film to date. Trade analysts estimate that it needs to collect at least 35 crores in share for the producer to recover costs. This means the film must do blockbuster-level business for Nithiin’s range.
His future career trajectory will largely depend on Robinhood’s box office performance. If Robinhood turns out to be a hit, then the anticipation for his next films like Thammudu and Yellamma will shoot up in a big way.
