Hero Ram Pothineni: Na Judgment, Na Success

Hero Ram Pothineni

Ideally, Hero Ram should be comfortably in Tier 2 by now, alongside Nani and Vijay Deverakonda, as he has everything going for him—looks, acting, and, most importantly, energy. Ram carries immense energy on screen, which many heroes lack.

However, Ram’s lethargic attitude is the reason for his current position. He doesn’t belong in Tier 3 or any club because he is a rather random hero with a big disconnect from audiences.

He remains in isolation unless his film is out; otherwise, he disappears completely. This approach works only for Tier 1 stars, not for actors like Ram who are still trying to establish their careers.

Ram also has issues with his pace. He releases only one film a year, and that film often exits theaters within a week, quickly fading from public memory.

His attitude towards promoting his films is also problematic. Given that reach is crucial for actors like Ram, he hardly promotes his films—he attends a pre-release event, gives an interview, and considers it done. As mentioned earlier, this strategy may work for star heroes with massive fan followings, but not for Ram.

Sadly, Ram doesn’t seem to exhibit good judgment based on the directors and scripts he chooses, with Double iSmart being a recent prime example.

Ram is still young and possesses all the qualities needed for a successful hero. Hopefully, he will address these issues, make a comeback, and maintain consistency.
