New Delhi,UPDATED: May 25, 2023 22:27 IST
By India Today News Desk: After days of sizzling under the hot sun and witnessing heat wave, Delhiites were in for some relief as heavy rains, dust storms and strong winds lashed the national capital on Thursday, May 25.
The weather turned rocky as thunderstorms lashed parts of Delhi-NCR. Due to bad weather, a Mumbai-Delhi Vistara flight was also diverted to Jaipur.
Besides, there is no heat wave on the cards for Delhi-NCR until May 30, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The IMD also said similar conditions are expected to prevail in the capital over the next two to three days.
Other north Indian states like Punjab and Haryana also experienced heavy rains, leading to a dip in the temperature. A dust storm hit Chandigarh, the joint capital of the two states, and its surrounding areas on Thursday afternoon.
