An Indian man, diagnosed with Blood cancer is looking for a secure future for his family in the US.

Since his family is on a dependent visa, the user asked whether they could continue living in the country after his passing. Many users responded to the post, leaving comments with wishes and condolences to his family.

An expert weighing in on the situation said that the best option for the wife is to look for work and get an H-1b visa herself. But it is harder as she will have to find an employer willing to apply for her and due to the large number of applicants, the request might still get ejected.

Another option is for her to enroll in a course and get an F1 student visa, to ensure that she stays in the country. However, it restricts her from work, making it difficult to support her family during the duration of the academic program.

There were a few other options suggested to the man but nothing seemed to assure a safe future for his wife and daughter. It must be a difficult time for the family to not only lose the breadwinner of the house but also face the danger of losing their residence.
