A. R. Rahman’s wife, Saira Banu, all of a sudden dropped the news of their divorce, which came as a big surprise as they announced their divorce after 29 years of marital relationship and having kids who are adults, aged 28 and 21 years.
It is their personal relationship, and no one has the right to comment on their decision.

But what annoyed most is the way A. R. Rahman announced it on social media.
He posted a tweet on ‘X’ that reads he had hoped to reach their relationship into a grand 30 but ended now.

Funnily enough, he created a hashtag, #ARRSairaBreakup, and posted his divorce announcement, which instantly triggered wild reactions to the hashtag more than the message he wanted to convey.
There are comments like, “Has he lost his mind? What is the occasion, and what is this hashtag for? Does he want us to trend this hashtag nationwide or what?”

This isn’t any wedding announcement or a movie title announcement to create a hashtag, but A. R. Rahman or his team, whoever created it, missed the common sense.
But it is too late to correct now, as it’s already become a topic on social media.
