As the tenth week of Bigg Boss concludes, the dynamics within the house have become more intense, especially as Family Week nears. However, the current season has faced criticism, particularly due to host Nagarjuna’s efforts and the underwhelming performance of some contestants.
Despite having nine prior seasons, including an OTT edition, Season 6 was previously considered the weakest. Yet, Season 8 has now taken over that title, despite its initial “Unlimited” hype.

The heavy presence of Kannada contestants dubbed the “Kannada batch” has made it difficult for Telugu audiences to fully engage with the show.
As the show enters its tenth week, the unpredictability regarding the top contenders remains. Seven contestants are up for elimination this week, five of whom are from the Kannada batch: Nikhil, Prerna, Yashmi, Prithvi, and Vishnu Priya. Though Vishnu Priya is a Telugu native, her relationship with Prithvi has linked her closely with the Kannada group, making her less favorable among Telugu voters. The other two nominees, Gautham and Hariteja, are Telugu contestants.

Current voting trends indicate that Hariteja, a popular contestant who ranked in the top three in the first season, is likely to be eliminated. From week one to week ten, the show has seen Telugu contestants steadily leaving, reinforcing the idea of a “Kannada fortress” within the house. This has raised suspicions about the integrity of the elimination process, with some viewers questioning if Bigg Boss manipulates outcomes rather than strictly adhering to public votes.
Hariteja has received the fewest votes in unofficial online polls, placing her at risk. Gautham, however, has unexpectedly surged to the top, surpassing Nikhil. Despite Hariteja’s previous resilience and an emotional gameplay style involving strategic alliances and tears, her votes have been outpaced, leaving her vulnerable.

Last week, Hariteja survived due to Nayani Pavani’s elimination, but this week, with only a marginal one percent difference between her and Prithvi’s votes, the danger is real.
Complicating matters is the show’s portrayal of Vishnu Priya and Prithvi’s romantic subplot, heavily featured by host Nagarjuna. Eliminating Prithvi could disrupt this storyline, potentially affecting the show’s ratings. Thus, while Prithvi is also in the danger zone, his connection with Vishnu Priya may secure his spot for another week. If the show decides on a surprising twist, Prithvi could face elimination, delaying Hariteja’s exit later.
