Having an H1B visa approved at the consulate seems like the final step. Yet, many are experiencing unforeseen delays even after approval. Their visa status stays stuck on “Approved” for days, and sometimes weeks.
One such case recently came up in Hyderabad. A candidate had a comfortable interview on March 10 and received approval in seconds. But after a week, the H1B visa was not released. People claim that if a visa is not released within seven days, it could be under additional security scanning.

For the people waiting, this is stressful. Travel arrangements are disrupted, employment is on the line, and there are no definite answers. In this situation, the company of the applicant does not permit remote work. This results in lost wages and a potential dip in their performance review.
These delays create legitimate questions. If additional checks are required, shouldn’t the applicants know? The failure to provide updates leaves individuals frustrated and at a loss.
